Texts and illustrations of the architecture and history of the former Teatro Nacional. Facsimile edition of a book of the same title published 76 years ago with the addition of advertisements for various businesses and stores of the time. . The book narrates succinctly the history of the construction of the Palace of Fine Arts in similar terms as the report presented by engineer Alberto J. Pani and architect Federico Mariscal, who were in charge of the conclusion of the building between 1932 and 1934. Both authors criticize, because of its grandiloquence and waste, the conception and development of the initial phase (from 1904 to 1912) in charge of Italian architect Adamo Boari, praising their introduced modifications as well as the solutions of the finishing touches. The architectural work was suspended from 1913 to 1932. The edition also contains vignettes, capitulars, plaques and other ornamental graphic elements all related to the imaginary of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. LIMITED EDITION OF 1000.
