Fourth number of a series of monographic studies devoted to the Chilean photographic patrimony, analyzed and reviewed from a historic and aesthetic perspective along with a visual account of images displayed in a specific corpus of photographs. This number is dedicated to Vienna-born photographer active in South America in the first half of the 20th century, Roberto M. Gerstmann (b. Austria, immigrated to Chile in 1924- d. Santiago 1960?). Gerstmann traveled all over South America (Chile, Bolivia, and Colombia) making thousand photographs from 1928 to 1960. He is thought to have died in Santiago ca. 1960.
