Exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the death of muralist and painter Ladrón de Guevara (b. Chile 1889- 1968) presenting a retrospective with works from the holdings of private collections and the permanent collection of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes of Santiago. Ladrón de Guevara was part of the denominated "Generation of the 28', a group of Chilean artists with an incipient and irregular project of modernity that started taking form in Chile during the 1920's. His vast production of pencil, ink, sanguine and carbon drawings, oils, watercolors, fresco paintings, murals and stain glass (inspired in French artist Cezanne) reflect his passionate sensibility in portraying the rural and costal landscape, still life and "costumbrist" scenes of the early 20th century Chile.
