A MAJOR STUDY of the art, poetry, typography, and illustrated books of Monteiro (b. Brazil, 1899-1970), with photographs, poems, texts and recordings and artworks of one of the most outstanding modernists in Brazil and France. The only Pernambucan to participate in the French "Salon des Independants" and "Semana del Arte Moderna" in 1922, he never integrated to other artistic modernist groups, maintaining his individuality and independence, although associated with the Antropofagia movement. Poetry and illustrated books are the lesser known items of his artistic production due to the unpublished or limited editions of the small format books personal distribution. Almost almost all his poems were written in French, (that he later translated) during his stay in France. This edition presents his complete poetry production. Included are 2 CD with of the original reading by the artist and other French poets recorded in radio programs in Paris and Grenoble in France during the 1950s and 1960s. FRENCH AND PORTUGUESE TEXT.
