Handsome edition on painter Kelly (b. Ireland 1950, immigrated to Mexico in 1989), featuring the creative process of his art work: his Mexico city urban landscapes, colorful scenes the artist has named "urban theater," his open landscapes, female nude paintings, ink drawings and his collaboration with photographer Richard Kirchner, in a project that showed through a series of photographs the way in which a naked model is transformed into a painting. The book was the final outcome of several meetings with the artist in his studio (and house) and the title (2 hours and 25 years) refers to the time it takes the artist to complete one of his works and the years living in Mexico.
