An anthropological look at the life and works of ceramist who lives and works in an Andean village of Escuque. Her works combine the ancient tradition of the culture Cuica in ceramics with the religious images of Catholicism brought by the Spanish during the colonial period. Text includes many color images of her syncretic works as well as a brief history of the region of Escuque (both the indigenous and colonial components), as well as a discussion on how this artist's religion is incorporated into her art.
