Pérez de Arce Lavín was born in Santiago de Chile in 1917 and after his studies at the University of Florida in 1942 he became a leading architect in private practice and eventually a professor. He was the director of the Colegio de Arquitectos in 1966 and 1977, and received the Premio Nacional de Arquitectura in 1989. A good survey of his work from 1944-1994.
