LIMITED EDITION OF 1000. Exhibition catalogue, establishing the fourth "Premio MARCO". A select group of recognized contemporary artists were invited to donate works to the permanent collection of the Museum with a prize of $250,000. 98 artists (80 paintings, 6 installations, 2 collages) participated from Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Great Britian, Guatemala, Haiti, Italy, Peru, Puerto Rico, The United States and Venezuela. Julio Galan was given the award. Two excellent essays on the history/critique of the museum and the exhibitions that have been held since it was founded in 1991. Important reference.
