In 2011 art historian and gallery owner Nacho Ruiz (b. Murcia, Spain 1972) was invited to coordinate a weeklong workshop on Art Market in the CCE in Guatemala. Based on the material elaborated for the workshop enriched with the questionings and opinions of participating local artists, curators, museum administrators, gallery owners and cultural manages, the book proposes an artistic, economic and sociological analysis the roles played by the different agents that participate in the art system.
