The first part of the present monographic study describes the results of the excavations in the neighborhood of Coronado of the city of Palmira, in Colombia's Cauca Valley, during the discovery in 1998 and 1999 of several tombs from of the Malagana (Llama) Culture, most of them intact, and excavated under controlled conditions. A second part reviews the Pre-Colombian cemetery in general and in its historic context along with technical reports on: soils, ceramics, seeds, charcoal, and botanical macro-remains. An important work after the large destruction in 1993 by plunderers looking for gold pieces of the first discovered archaeological burial sites in the hacienda Malagana. La primera parte del trabajo muestra los resultados de las excavaciones realizadas en el barrio Coronado, en la ciudad de Palmira y la segunda, analiza el cementerio en el contexto de la cultura Malagana.
