MASSIVE presentation of photographs by Orlando Azevedo (b. Portugal, 1949, who has lived and worked in Brazil since 1963), that chronicles an expedition through Brazil's heartland in the tradition of 19th century traveler artists such as Rugendas, Taunay, and Humboldt. The expedition from 1999-2002 by Orlando Azevedo and journalist, Fabiano Camargo, covered seventy thousand kilometers in the backlands of Brazil (60% on dirt roads and paths), and over fifty thousand photographs were taken. One of the results of the expedition/project (funded by IRB-Brasil Re) is a beautifully arranged work divided into three volumes: TERRA, MITOS , HOMEM. Text is in English, Spanish and Portuguese. We offer MITO vol. only.
