A study of Nuno Portas (b. 1934 , Portugal) who became an architect in 1959. Between 1957-1970 he worked in Liwsbon as a partner of the Nuno Teotónic Pereira studio in charge of several public housing porjects. During the same perios he continously develped as an architectural critic and undertook pioneering reserach into the Modern Movement in Porgual, and was co-editor of the Portuguese magazine "Arquitectura". Since that period he served as a director, consultant in Brazil,Spain and Portugal. He also served as Secretary of State for Housing and Planning in the first Porguguese post-revolutionary governments (1974-1975). Portuguese and English.
