Published in the spring of 2007, this edition documents the InSite_05 "Conversations," a series of symposiums and meetings that took place in San Diego, California and Tijuana, México from November 2003 to November 2005. The book, the third and final book in the series documenting inSite_05, includes essays by renowned experts in the fields of art, urban studies, anthropology, and political science Magalí Arriola, Judith Barry, Ute Meta Bauer, Teddy Cruz, Keller Easterling, Maarten Hajer, David Harvey, Manuel de Landa, Shuddhabrata Sengupta, Eyal Weizman, Måns Wrange, and Sally Yard offering a critical view of public spaces and border dynamics. inSite_05 is a network of art institutions and cultural practitioners dedicated to stimulating creative experiences in the border zone of San Diego - Tijuana through an interdisciplinary platform that incorporates four core components: Interventions, Scenarios, Conversations and Museum Exhibition.
