Multidisciplinary works developed in the research postgraduate program of Studies of Images and Cultural Representations from the UFRJ analyzing the complex sources of visual imagery in Brazil. Represented on one side by the heteroclitic images that result from the mass media, advertising and the sign polyphony of the urban centers, and on the other side by the visual significance of the archaic and polychromatic code network that make up the popular artistic creations from diverse regions in Brazil.
