Essays of digital photographs and video projections installations by Bermúdez (b. Colombia lives and works in New York City), where the artist explores the relationship between the private and the public identity of the female body and associates her own self-images to physical or emotional contact, sexual codes and gender. The artist comes from a fashion design background and perceives clothing as cultural skins while stating that close and out of context self-representations of her own body parts can be considered "obscene." Included are 3 small format flip books of her DVD and VHS NTSC video projections. Interview by Julia P. Herzberg and essays by art critics Jose Roca and Mercedes Vicente. ENGLISH AND SPANISH TEXTS.
