Study of a collection of printed illustrations by 3 master 19th and early 20th century Mexican artists: Villasana (1848-1904), Martinez Carrión (1860-1906) and Izaguirre (1867-1941). Illustrations published in the Diario Ilustrado between 1895 and 1898, portraying 19th century Mexican society while also denouncing the social injustice of the Porfirio Diaz regime. All pieces are published plates as the original watercolors or drawings no longer exist.
