Selected works by 29 artists born at the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, although using the fine arts traditional expressions: painting, sculpture, drawings and engraving, they represent the avant-garde period in Argentinean art. Some pieces exhibited are: the polychromatic woods by Juan de Dios Mena, the abstract compositions by Irene von Lipka, the figurative paintings by Romulo Maccio and Xul Solar and the intriguing lithographs by Lucrecia Orloff.
