An international curator, Gerardo Mosquera (b. Cuba), was commissioned to curate the 2003 edition of "Panorama of Brazilian Art" established in 1969. Mosquera and assistant curator Ardienne Samos of Panama, traveled throughout Brazil and selected 21 artists that include two artistic duos and for the first time 3 foreign artists. The exhibition is an anti-panorama Panorama that deliberately avoids presenting an anthology or review. Utimately, however, more than one third of the participating artists could be labeled as emerging and unknown. ENGLISH, PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH TEXTS.
