History and selected texts and illustrations of the Mexican magazine "El Mundo Ilustrado". In 1894, Rafael Reyes Spíndola, the father of the modern Mexican press, founded the weekly magazine "El Mundo Ilustrado", offering the subscribers articles and photographs about art, poetry, music, culture, local events, comic strips and advertising sections during President Porfirio Diaz regime. Many intellectuals of the time collaborated: Novelists Amado Nervo and Ruben Darío, artists Julio Ruelas and Carlos Alcalde and photographer J.M. Lupercio among others.
Selección de imágenes y textos de la revista mexicana El Mundo Ilustrado, que circuló desde 1894. La revista trató sobre arte, poesía, música y cultura. Entre los ilustradores estuvo José María Villasana y Carlos Alcalde. También publicó fotografías, partituras y algunas caricaturas.
