Bororo's (b. Santiago 1953) most significant characteristic is his "childish" touch. His experience with childrens workshops has made his paintings of urban life and society look primitive, and at the same time, unique and fresh. Bororo, along artists such as Samy Benmayor, Omar Gatica, Matías Pinto D'Aguiar, Ismael Frigerio, and others, is part of the "La Generación de los 80", a movement to re-popularize and re-instate painting as a medium as important as conceptual art.
