Monograph on the Hospicio Cabañas, which is without doubt the most well known historic landmark in the State of Jalisco. Founded in 1801 it houses one of Orozco's most famous murals. With Orozco's mural painted in 1938-1939, the Hospicio initiated its incursion in the fine arts and today shelters the engravings, paintings and drawings by José Clemente Orozco, the art work and archives of Mathias Goeritz and the Colección del Pueblo de Jalisco. The texts: Cuando los muros hablan, Arquitectura de Composición, and José Clemente Orozco are superbly illustrated with full page color photographs of architectural and mural details. Great guide to the art and architecture.
