Art catalogue of the first salon of contemporary Venezuelan folk art at the Centro de Arte de Maracaibo. Artists were invited to submit up to two pieces in paintings and sculptures. Many of the entries are included in the catalogue as well as the winners: José Tomás Barazarte whose two pieces won the grand prize, Antonia Azuaje, Rosa Contreras, Elsa Morales, Socorro Salinas, José Ramón Valero and Blanco Aparicio.
