Designers Jenny Abud, Roberto Osses and Marcelo Uribe, sponsored by Amnesty International, with the support of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and sponsored by the Government of Chile, published the present book in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of human rights. The book comprises the 30 articles of the UDHR, which -in this work- were one by one complemented with testimonies or experiences of people, entities or groups of Chilean society. In addition to the testimonial complement, each article and its respective subparagraphs are accompanied by illustrations where "The image acts as an ally defender of meaning. It places in the same space the attributes of art and strategy. It brings us closer to the essence, it brings us closer to coherence. It invokes, exemplifies, promotes, highlights, disturbs, surprises. It educates." Among the people who have participated -through testimonies or opinions- we find: housewives, priests (of various religions), judges, lawyers, teachers, journalists, managers, mothers, secretaries, leaders of Mapuche groups, representatives of groups of sexual minorities, immigrants, artists such as Fernando Ubiergo or authorities such as the National President of Firefighters of Chile or Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the UN, among others.
