In the year 2000, the old complex of the Jesuit Block, together with the group of rooms of the same name, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this way, an area of maximum historical value was legitimized, which allows us to see the importance of the legacy of the Jesuit Order. This order, which had turned the city of Córdoba into a central nucleus of its educational, cultural and economic system, had a decisive influence on the configuration of the city. The complex includes not only the old headquarters of the Rectorate of the National University of Córdoba, but also the Church of the Society of Jesus, the Domestic Chapel, the Residence and the National College of Monserrat. This book, in a bilingual edition and fundamentally through a selection of images, covers a heritage legacy that constitutes a unique aspect of the identity of the people of Cordoba. The Jesuit Collection, the Collection donated by Doctor Enrique Ferrer Vieyra of Elzevirians, incunabula and printed matter and the Collection of cartographies, engravings and books (s. XVI-SXX), donated by the Jur Family, stand out in its pages.i. CONTENTS: Indice -- Prólogo -- La Manzana Jesuítica.
