Photographs by Spanish / French photographer Cecilia Orueta (1963) accompanied with texts by various authors inspired by the "the footprint" that six Spanish cities left in the work of the noted painter Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). In the work of Pablo Picasso, the landscapes of the cities in which he lived in his childhood and youth (Málaga, La Coruña, Madrid and Barcelona) and those of two towns in Catalonia where he spent little time, but in important moments of his life (Horta de San Juan y Gósol) are essential. Cecilia Orueta has dedicated several years of work to trace the footprint of those landscapes in the iconography of Picasso, in his character and even in the brushwork of his pictorial work. With six other researchers she presents in this book the places that marked the life and work of the most universal Spanish painter. CONTENTS: Prólogo.
