The creative process in the work of Palacios proceeds in a serial fashion. She upsets the usual pairs of opposites that seem to give direction to our existence. The exhibition includes two recent (2002) series: Duality where she explores multiple extensions of forms having to do with doubleness using female fist-fighters. The second series: Geishas" again explores duality of the legendary figures from Japanese culture who seek individuation with red boxing gloves. ENGLISH AND SPANISH TEXTS.
