Painting and sculpture by artist Ernesto de Fiore (b. Rome 1884, immigrated to Brazil 1936, d. 1945). The artist was an important modernist in early 20th century Berlin, creating figurative sculptures. Clouds of war in 1936 persuaded the artist to immigrate to Brazil where he continued with a renewed interest in figurative painting as well as sculpture.
