INAUGURAL CATALOGUE FOR NEW MUSEUM IN CHILE. The museum expresses a global vision on Chilean contemporary art that was formed over a period of almost two decades by two private collectors. Two hundred and fifty artists representing Chilean visual arts are currently in the collection represented by more than six hundred and fifty works. The collection ranges from works done in the sixties to the current moment, including painting, sculpture, graphics, installation and other disciplines. The architect of the museum is Cristi n Undurraga. A mural by Roberto Matta will connect this to the neighboring Archaeological Museum of Santiago.This general catalogue is a record of the collection that includes works exhibited in the permanent collection and those held in reserve.
