Salamé, a Chilean artist residing in the United States is part of the Re encounter series, dedicated to artists from Chile who live overseas. She has confronted the need for a global consciousness regarding the preservation of natural resources which has led to the creation of what she terms her "living paintings", which combine architectural forms with plant life.
