LIMITED, PERSONALIZED AND NUMBERED EDITION 142/1000. The book is an iconographic collection containing over 200 plates -some folding- of prints, paintings, watercolors, and drawings of landscape views the city of Buenos Aires since 1599. Included are works by artists César H. Bacle, Ibarra, E. E. Vidal, Carlos E. Pellegrini, César H. Bacle and Juan León Palliére among others. Only 10 prints are dated before 1800, the rest were done from 1807 to 1895, and some were done to illustrate the edition of the "Voyage dans l'Amerique Meridional" (Paris, 1809) and "Picturesque Illustrations of Buenos Aires, Montevideo, etc." (Lonsdon 1820). All prints -some exceptions- used in the book are from the private collection of bibliophile Guillermo H. Moores. This copy was not intended for commercial use.
