A transfigured city, urban characters, animals, objects, mannequins, toolboxes, housewares, female nudes and their interpretations in plaster and wax, self-portraits etc. comprise the graphic production of Francisco Maringelli (b. Brazil 1959) since the early decade of 1980, sometimes gathering in the form of named series, while others, such as albums or in the form of advertisment posters and flyers with the same graphic content their own exhibitions. This book presents a collection of woodcuts and linoleum prints produced by the artist over the course of nearly thirty years of work, accompanied by text by Luiz Armando Bagolin and a lengthy interview with the author, in which he comments his career and his artistic process, and stated its concern with the formal synthesis in his graphic work.
