The book brings together more than 30 years of Lygia Reinach's (b. Dois Córregos, SP, 1933) art production, with texts by academics Davi Arrigucci Jr and Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira, artist and diretor-curador of the Museu Afro Brasil Emanoel Araujo, author Ignácio de Loyola Brandão, graphic artist Renina Katz, David Arrigucci Jr, Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira, Niaz Ahmad and Loyola Brandão. At the age of 46 years, in the late 1970, Reinach initiated her artistic career, when she was a student of sculptor and ceramist Megumi Yuasa. The book "Urban Nature" presents a selection of works that have been exhibited or are part of the holdings of museums, galleries, public spaces and several private collections. Forms and textures worked in clay, cort-en (weathering) steel, wood, aluminum - materials with which Lygia has exerted her craft daily artist - without abandoning the primordial raw material of her work, which is clay. Many of her works are also sound sculptures. In her own garden, water flows inside her clay pieces, describe as form and music.
